If the eyes are the mirror of the soul, then the logo is a representation of the whole essence of your company. You cannot even guess, but sometimes the logos speak much more about the company than its description.
I am guided by the following rules in my work in order to make logos meaningful and meet all the criteria and topics:
1. Take into account the area of expertise.
2. Clear identification of client preferences before starting work. I will show you the catalog of more than 80 examples of logos and you will be able to better understand which elements are preferable and witch have to get rid.
3. Using no more than 2 colors. Exception may be an entertainment companies, etc.
4. Colors also have semantics. There are some most popular colours (blue, red, black and gray), which are represented in 90% of logos.
5. Picture or text – what is more important? 41% of companies use only text in their logo.
These principles are based on my own experience working with large companies in a design studio.
